Cincinnati Soaring and Electric is pleased to announce the 2008 Annual Pumpkin Fly at the Voice of America Park (VOA Park) in West Chester, Ohio, just north of Cincinnati.  Please do make the trip to Southwestern Ohio to close out the 2008 soaring season.  We look forward to seeing you there.


Location:  VOA Park is just off of I-75 at the Tylersville Road Exit.  The park is a square mile in area and is situated between Tylersville Road on the south, Cox Road on the west, Butler-Warren Road on the east, and Hamilton-Mason Road on the north.  Here are links for detailed maps and lodging information.


Directions: From I-75, take the Tylersville Road exit and proceed east approximately 1/2 mile to Cox Road.  Turn north (left) on Cox Road and proceed to the park entrance on the right about 2/3 mile at a stoplight.  Turn into the park on the asphalt road and turn to the right at the south park entrance road, follow it toward the VOA Headquarters building. The contest will be held at the soccer fields on the left.


Task:  Thermal Duration with L4 (spot) landing  (Multiple planes permitted. Telemetry is NOT permitted)


Classes:   Unlimited (444), seeded man on man; six winches active, with seventh as a back-up winch for line breaks.  We will strive for 6 pilots per flight group all day.


Fee:    $15 per day entry fee,  $25 for both days


Awards:   1st thru 5th Place both days and Trophy for Best Two-Day Overall score.

Pilots Meeting: 9:30 AM Saturday   9:15 AM Sunday


First Flight: 10:00 AM  Saturday    9:45 AM Sunday


Lunch:  Participants are encouraged to "brown bag", but there are numerous "fast food" outlets nearby.
